武道家というのは、戦いによって人をたくさん傷つける。それを懺悔する意味でも、動物を大切にしなければならない。それは日本で昔から言われている「生類あわれみの令」につながっている。イギリスのロンメル将軍も動物を大切にしていた。自分も小さいときから動物は好きだった。一緒に動物と寝起きして初めて動物と気持ちが通じる。
